What the tools are
The scan and the profile audit read publicly available Google Maps data and report what they find. They are free, they need no account, and they are offered as they are. Use them for a business you own or represent.
Automated or repeated querying is rate limited. We may block an address that trips the limit, because every lookup costs us money upstream.
Accuracy
Local rankings vary by the exact point a search is made from, by device, by time of day and by changes Google makes without notice. Two scans of the same business an hour apart can differ, and that is the nature of the measurement rather than a fault in it.
Factor weights shown on this site come from the Whitespark Local Search Ranking Factors survey, 2026 edition. That is a survey of practitioners, not a statement from Google, and we present it as such wherever it appears.
Nothing on this site is a prediction. A report telling you a change is worth 227 points is telling you where the surveyed field puts that factor, not what will happen to your rankings.
We do not guarantee rankings
Nobody can. Roughly 16% of local pack weight sits in review signals, and the two heaviest factors in the whole survey are how close your address is to the person searching and whether it is in the city they searched. Neither moves for anyone.
What we take responsibility for is reviews collected, which is the part we control. Commercial terms, including what is charged and what counts as a review we collected, are set out in the individual agreement and not on this page.
How we run campaigns, and what we will not do
Google's review policies changed in April 2026. Incentivized reviews, review gating, pressuring customers on the premises, staff review quotas and directing what a review should say are all violations, and profiles get suspended for them.
We ask every customer on a list rather than the ones we expect to be kind. We never pay a reviewer. We never screen customers by predicted sentiment before asking. We never write a review for anyone or tell them what to put in one.
If a client asks us to do any of those things we decline, and if they insist we end the engagement. This is not a preference. Doing it their way would put their own profile at risk of suspension, which is a worse outcome for them than the one they were trying to avoid.
Campaign messaging goes only to people with a prior business relationship with the client. We honor STOP and HELP immediately and we respect quiet hours in the recipient's own time zone. Supplying a list you are not entitled to contact is a breach of the client agreement.
Liability
The free tools are provided without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from decisions made on the basis of a free scan or audit. Liability under a paid engagement is capped and described in that agreement.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the state in which Branded Reputation is established, and the courts of that state have exclusive jurisdiction. The state is named in your service agreement, and we will confirm it in writing on request.
Changes
We update the date at the top when this page changes. Continuing to use the tools after a change means the current version applies.
